Our Story
In 1934 the Federal Credit Union Act was signed into law–making it more efficient for credit unions to grow and thrive nationwide. And, they have: Today, the nation’s 5,700 credit unions serve more than 120 million members.
Established in 1950, White Rose Credit Union has been proud to serve both our members and our community. Our dedication to member service is a top priority; every day, we serve. Serving isn’t just an over used term here. Without the opportunity to serve, we wouldn’t exist.
From what started in a small garage, eventually moving to an office at the Downtown Post Office, we have grown to serve over 11,000 members at four public branches.
The Credit Union Difference
Different from a bank, credit unions are not-for-profit financial institutions where our members are part owners. This means lower fees, competitive loan rates, and access to a ton of free services since we invest back in our members rather than corporate shareholders.
We pride ourselves on the work we do with our community, and our commitment to educating our members to help them achieve their financial goals.
