April was an exciting month at White Rose Credit Union as we celebrated Youth Month with a special promotion aimed at our youngest members. Our goal was to encourage good saving habits and show that saving can be both fun and rewarding.
Throughout April, holders of our Sprout accounts had the opportunity to build their savings with an added bonus. We matched deposits up to $5 each week, allowing our young savers to earn up to $25 in matched funds over the month. This initiative was designed to teach the importance of regular saving and budgeting.
To make the experience even more engaging, we mailed postcards to our young members. Each time they made a deposit, they received a sticker that matched the theme of the week. Our staff also got into the spirit by dressing up according to the weekly themes every Friday.
Members who filled up every spot on their postcard were entered into a drawing for some fantastic prizes. The first prize winner received a Target gift card, York Revolution tickets for their whole family, and the thrilling opportunity to throw the first pitch at a York Revolution game. The second prize included a Target gift card and York Revolution tickets, while the third prize was York Revolution tickets.
This exciting promotion was more than just fun and games. It aimed to teach our youth members the value of saving and budgeting. By making regular deposits and seeing their savings grow, our young members learned that saving money can be a rewarding experience.
