York, PA – White Rose Credit Union held a Shred Event and Member Appreciation Event this past August at its Corporate Office in East York, Pennsylvania.
Members were invited to drive-thru and drop of their shred items, taken care of directly on site with the help of a mobile shredding truck.
In addition to the drive-thru shredding, members could stay and take part in the appreciation event.
The appreciation event featured free hot dogs and snacks, snow-cones, and treats. Kids crafts, a bounce house, and a dunk tank were on hand for the younger members. Various community partners including Springettsbury Township Police, York City Police, York Area United Fire and Rescue were on site to show off their equipment and interact with the community.
This was the credit union’s first shred event since COVID-19, and the first of a member appreciation event, that of which will be used to plan and analyze the possibility for other member-related events in the future.
“It was exciting to be able to start having in-person events again. Starting out with a Shred Event made sense since we were in the process of having a shred event when COVID-19 hit in 2020. Marketing was quick to turn it into a Member Appreciation celebration. I enjoyed meeting some of our members and their families as well as catching up with long-time members that I haven’t seen in many years.” said Deb Kauffman, President and CEO of White Rose Credit Union.
