White Rose Credit Union embraced the Halloween spirit this past October with a series of events that brought together employees, members, and the local community. The celebrations kicked off with a standout performance at the Dallastown Halloween Parade, where the credit union’s “Monsters Inc.” themed float, cleverly titled “It’s Your Life. We Scare,” won first place in the business division. This creative twist on their slogan, “It’s Your Life. We Care,” delighted parade-goers and judges.
In addition to the parade, White Rose Credit Union participated in the Trunk or Treat event at City Hall, showcasing an enchanting “Alice in Wonderland” themed trunk. The event provided a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy trick-or-treating.
The Halloween celebrations continued with a series of internal competitions that fostered team spirit and creativity among the branches. Each branch selected a unique theme for the costume contest, competing for the coveted title of best costume. The East York branch emerged victorious with their imaginative “policeman and prisoner” theme, aptly named “Got Caught Stealing Candy.” Their efforts earned them candy and trophies, proudly displayed in their branch until next year.
The pumpkin carving contest saw branches showcasing their artistic talents, with the East York branch once again taking the top prize. The winning pumpkins were judged via social media, engaging the community in the celebrations.
To add to the excitement, the Marketing team organized a “Quote of the Day” contest. For five days leading up to Halloween, employees were challenged to guess quotes from popular Halloween movies. The first person to correctly identify each quote won a Starbucks gift card, adding a fun and competitive edge to the celebrations.
White Rose Credit Union’s Halloween events not only highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of its employees but also reinforced the credit union’s commitment to community engagement and team building. The success of these events is a testament to the vibrant and inclusive culture at White Rose Credit Union.
