York, PA – White Rose Credit Union recently helped to sponsor local mini-THONs with two of its local school partners, Central York and Dallastown Area High School.
Every year, local high schools plan their events with the goal of raising funds towards Four Diamonds, an organization focused on conquering childhood cancer, and providing children and families with comprehensive support and assistance. Four Diamonds covers 100 percent of all medical expenses that families face related to cancer that are not covered by insurance. In addition to the assistance for Penn State Children’s Hospital families, the organization dedicates funding to childhood cancer research.
White Rose was proud to lend a hand in both events, donating $500 to each. Both high schools hosted a 12-hour event complete with dancing, food, and other fun activities. Each school raised over $100,000 with their respective Mini-THONS.
Staff from the Panther Branch, a White Rose Branch located inside Central York High School were able offer additional support with the monetary functions that were needed from the fundraising event.
